dhpg appoints seven new partners on 1 January 2021

Bonn, 25 January 2021 - The auditing and consulting firm dhpg has appointed seven new partners from its own ranks as of the beginning of the year. They are: Quentin Adrian (tax advisor, Bonn), Steffen Dettmer (auditor and tax advisor, Gummersbach), Benjamin Drath (tax advisor, Euskirchen), Marco Halfmann (auditor and tax advisor, Bornheim), Oliver Lohmar (tax advisor, Bonn), Ulrich Trautmann (tax advisor, Bornheim) and Fabrice Voigt (Gummersbach).

"We are holding true to our strategy of qualitative growth by bringing young talent into the group of partners this year - outstanding "next gen" colleagues, whose hallmarks include exceptional advice, entrepreneurial thinking and a team commitment. We will maintain our focus on this quality standard going forward," says Prof. Dr. Norbert Neu, spokesman for the group management.

Here are profiles of the new partners (in alphabetical order):

  • Tax advisor Quentin Adrian's main areas of expertise include tax and business managerial advice in non-profit and public law sectors for associations, foundations and public corporations. He is also a deputy member of the Examination Board for Tax Advisors.
  • The auditor and tax advisor Steffen Dettmer left PwC to join dhpg two years ago. With him, dhpg has gained an expert in support for medium-sized companies’ clients in the auditing of consolidated financial statements as well as corporate tax law.
  • Tax consultant Benjamin Drath's clientele includes medium-sized companies as well as NPOs. In addition, he advises health care institutions, hospitals and local authorities on annual financial statements, taxes and controlling.
  • In Marco Halfmann, dhpg has appointed an auditor and tax advisor as partner who, coming from a Big 4 firm, joined dhpg a few years ago and is now responsible for auditing individual and consolidated financial statements of medium-sized companies and helping them out with managerial accounting issues.
  • Oliver Lohmar began his career with the North Rhine-Westphalia tax authorities. His career trajectory as a tax advisor led him to dhpg after working for Flick Gocke Schaumburg. His practice is focused on corporate and turnover tax law. He represents clients before the tax authorities and courts in tax disputes.
  • Tax advisor Ulrich Trautmann's main focus is on tax advice to the public sector, in particular the implementation of tax compliance management systems and special VAT issues. In addition, he deals with income tax issues, for example in connection with fiscal cross-associations as well as fiscal divisional accounting for municipal enterprises.
  • With the appointment of Fabrice Voigt as partner, dhpg has recognised the increasingly important role played by IT auditing in the context of annual audits, internal audits, basic IT protection and certifications in accordance with national and international auditing standards. His other areas of responsibility include data analyses and fraud audits.
