Thomas Bernhardt is an auditor and tax consultant at dhpg. His main focus is on auditing annual and consolidated financial statements in accordance with national and international accounting standards. In addition, he also provides audit-related, business management and tax advice. He currently helps listed and medium-sized clients in particular to understand and implement the complex effects of the EU Taxonomy and Disclosure Regulation on their reporting obligations and supports them in implementing the new EU requirements for sustainability reporting.
He has gained particular expertise in auditing and advising regulated companies in the financial sector during his more than 15 years of professional experience in the financial services sector. His clients include insurance companies, pension funds, pension funds as well as securities institutions and capital management companies, for whom he works in the areas of auditing, preparation of financial statements, tax declaration and internal auditing, among others.
Thomas Bernhardt studied business administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Bergisch Gladbach. After his studies, he started his career in the accounting and financial reporting department of a Swiss insurance company and remained true to the industry focus during his many years of employment at one of the Big Four companies. In 2019, he moved to dhpg. He has been a senior partner since 2024.
