Kirsten Garling is a lawyer at dhpg. She specialises in providing IT and data protection advice to medium-sized companies. She specialises in implementing the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In addition, clients particularly value her expertise in providing legal advice in connection with the creation of new websites and online portals as well as in reviewing and drafting contracts in small and large IT projects.
Kirsten Garling studied law at the University of Cologne, specialising in media and communications law. She continued her interest in areas of law at the interface between IT and law during her legal clerkship. She completed her legal traineeship at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, at a law firm specialising in IT and media law and at the Central and Contact Point Cybercrime NRW, among others.
Ms Garling has been working for dhpg since 2018 and was admitted to the bar in June of the same year. She is currently preparing to qualify as a specialist lawyer in IT law.
