Certified restructuring and reorganisation expert (RWS)
Alexander Römer is a lawyer specialising in insolvency and restructuring law at dhpg. His main tasks include insolvency administration, restructuring and counselling in crisis situations. He is regularly appointed by courts as an expert, insolvency administrator and trustee.
In addition to his work as a lawyer, Alexander Römer taught as a lecturer at the European University of Applied Sciences in Brühl until 2020 and conducts in-house training courses on insolvency law reform throughout Germany.
Alexander Römer is a member of various professional associations, including the German Bar Association, the Cologne Bar Association and the New Insolvency Administrators' Association of Germany (NIVD e.V.). He is also a regular author on current developments in insolvency law and has published several articles in specialist commentaries.
After completing his law studies at the University of Cologne in 2006, Alexander Römer first completed his legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Aachen. After passing his second state law examination, he began his professional career as a lawyer in an insolvency law firm in Cologne. After further positions, he joined dhpg in 2024.
