dhpg grows dynamically: jump in turnover to 137.3 million euros and strong increase in personnel

Bonn, 16 June 2025 - The auditing and consulting firm dhpg, headquartered in Bonn, is continuing its growth trajectory. In the 2024 financial year, the company increased its turnover from 92.9 million euros to 137.3 million euros - an increase of around 48 per cent. In addition, dhpg significantly increased its workforce: the number of employees grew from 890 to 1192 in the same period. dhpg thus remains one of the largest auditing and consulting firms in Germany that focuses exclusively on SMEs.

A key driver of this growth was the successful merger with the former Nordwest Revision in Bremen, which now operates as dhpg. The other locations were able to grow by an average of around 10 per cent. In addition, the consistent digitalisation of standard processes is contributing to the company's efficiency and performance.

"The successful merger with Nordwest Revision and the consistent development of our locations, as well as the professionalisation and streamlining of processes, have significantly promoted our further development," says Prof. Dr Andreas Blum, Managing Partner of dhpg. Marko Müller, also Managing Partner of dhpg, adds: "The processes in financial and payroll accounting have been harmonised and digitalised across all locations in order to reduce administrative activities."

All consulting areas strengthened - auditing with growth of more than 50 per Cent

Overall, all of dhpg's service areas increased in turnover, both organically and as a result of the merger with the Bremen office. This is particularly true of auditing, which grew by more than 50 per cent. With regard to the growth in the number of consultants, the legal division deserves special mention: With a total of 60 lawyers, dhpg supports its clients in a wide range of legal issues - from labour and tax law to complex transactions such as company acquisitions, sales, restructurings, reorganisations and insolvencies. dhpg can now draw on legal expertise throughout Germany that is commensurate with its size.

ESG remains an important business Segment

Although recent decisions in Brussels have significantly relaxed the reporting requirements for many companies, the topic of ESG (environmental, social and governance) remains a key area of consulting. There is still a need for reliable sustainability indicators and this will continue. "The business prospects in this consulting field are no longer as great as expected last year. Nevertheless, many companies want and need to provide stakeholders with information on sustainability indicators," explains Marko Müller.

Good development of the international network

dhpg is the German representative of the international network CLA Global, a globally active association of independent auditing and consulting firms. Prof Dr Andreas Blum is part of the Management Board of CLA Global. With its involvement in the network, which was founded in 2022, and its positive development, dhpg is pursuing the path of necessary and increasing support for SMEs in international markets.

Further growth planned through new Locations

For the current year, dhpg is aiming for a turnover of 150 million euros. Further growth is also planned for the future through targeted location expansions. The focus will be on companies that complement the existing service portfolio in a meaningful way, or the development of regions with high economic relevance for dhpg. Andreas Blum explains: "The aim is to further increase customer proximity in the north and east. As in the past, cultural fit remains our top priority. Because only if we fit together culturally can we create synergies together."
