Sebastian Heinke is an attorney at dhpg. He advises medium-sized companies and their shareholders on matters of corporate and insolvency law. His particular focus is on advising clients in special situations, particularly in restructuring and insolvency proceedings (including self-administration) as well as in distressed M&A transactions. He combines expertise in insolvency and corporate law with extensive experience in national and international transactions and M&A processes.
Sebastian Heinke completed his law studies at the University of Auvergne in Clermont-Ferrand and the University of Bonn. During his legal clerkship, he worked, among other places, at the Scientific Services of the German Bundestag in Berlin. He also completed master’s programs in business law and tax law at Ruhr University Bochum, as well as in M&A at the University of Münster.
From 2015 to 2018, Sebastian Heinke worked as a research associate for dhpg in the area of insolvency administration and restructuring consulting. After being admitted to the bar, he spent several years at an international commercial law firm, where he advised clients primarily on corporate law, transactions, and M&A processes, and also provided comprehensive support to companies on ongoing commercial law matters. As part of his previous role, he served as interim head of the legal department of a large corporation and also assumed interim legal management and in-house functions in other client engagements. He has been working for dhpg again since 2023 and has been strengthening the insolvency administration and restructuring advisory practice since 2026.
