Prof Dr Norbert Neu is an auditor and tax consultant at dhpg. He specialises in advising medium-sized companies, particularly in matters of national and international corporate tax law. As a sought-after consultant, he advises entrepreneurs and companies on reorganisations, company and share (sales) acquisitions and succession planning.
Norbert Neu is active in many ways as a specialist author and speaker. He is a member of the Fachinstitut der Steuerberater and the advisory board of the Centrale für GmbH of Verlag Dr. Otto Schmidt KG as well as co-editor of the trade journal "GmbH-Rundschau". In addition to his work for dhpg, he is a member of various supervisory and advisory boards. The research and consulting firm Lünendonk & Hossenfelder appointed Norbert Neu to its advisory board in 2024. Until the end of 2023, he was an honorary professor at the Chair of Business Taxation at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and a guest lecturer at the Federal Finance Academy in Berlin.
After training as a bank clerk, Prof Dr Norbert Neu studied business administration at the University of Cologne, where he subsequently worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Business Administration and Business Taxation and was awarded his doctorate. Norbert Neu joined dhpg in 1993 and was Senior Partner of the company from 1996 to 2023. He has been Of Counsel since 2024.
