Klaus Schmitz-Toenneßen is an auditor and tax consultant at dhpg. He mainly advises small and medium-sized businesses as well as public sector administrations and companies. His particular expertise lies in auditing and tax consulting for the public sector, auditing the budget accounts of local authorities and auditing the annual financial statements of public companies. In addition, he is involved in the introduction of the New Municipal Financial Management and in the support of public-private partnership projects.
In addition to his work for dhpg, Klaus Schmitz-Toenneßen is active as a board member in associations of public companies. He is a member of the legal and tax committee of the Bonn/Rhein-Sieg Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He graduated with a degree in business administration from the University of Cologne. He has been a senior partner since 2003.
