Björn Spilles is a tax consultant at dhpg in the Global Mobility Tax Services division. As a specialist advisor for international tax law, he advises companies on all tax and social security issues related to the global assignment of employees, remote and home-office activities abroad, with regard to permanent establishment risks and payroll processes as well as the organisation of relocations.
In connection with secondment issues, Björn Spilles works closely with our international network CLA Global, where he heads the Global Mobility Tax Services working group. Björn Spilles is also the network coordinator of our Cross Globe network, which specialises in international employee assignments. In addition to the tax issues covered by dhpg, Cross Globe offers individuals and companies support with visa and residence issues, international insurance solutions, intercultural training, finding accommodation and relocation, schooling and childcare.
Björn Spilles has been a lecturer in the module "Employee Taxation in International Tax Law" at the Federal Finance Academy since 2024.
After training as a banker, Björn Spilles studied economics at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. He has supported dhpg in the area of Global Mobility Tax Services since 2009. He has been a partner since 2018.
