Henrik Schmedecker is a tax advisor at dhpg. He advises small and medium-sized companies and start-ups in the manufacturing industry, plant construction, renewable energies and IT sectors as well as municipal businesses on all tax issues. In addition to his expertise in tax advice, Henrik Schmedecker also provides support with annual audits and the audit of tax for large corporations and in the insurance industry.
A particular focus of his work is on supporting medium-sized companies in the transition to a renewable energy and heat supply, for example through green hydrogen. He also advises companies in various sectors on this topic.
In addition to his professional activities, he is a deputy trustee under the German Pfandbrief Act at a Berlin Pfandbrief bank and a junior member of the “Zwischen Hunte und Weser” district association.
He began his professional career as a trained banker and corporate customer advisor. After graduating with a Master of Arts in Business Administration, he was a finalist for the DZ Bank Career Award 2015. He worked for a Big 4 company in Hanover for four years before switching to tax consultancy in 2016. He has been authorised as a tax consultant since 2018 and completed his certification as a Tax Compliance Officer in 2019. He has been working at the Bremen office since July 2022.
